With all that happened to Japan all we can do now is help! Manga artist Takehiko Inoue is spending her efforts sketching with her Ipad these cheerful sketchs. Help Japan! Donate, Spread the word, even create your own cheerful illustrations to support them!
It was already counted over 1000 people dead and still rising!
Japan now faces yet more challenges, including threats of meltdowns at nuclear plants in Fukushima, and a growing scarcity of electricity, food and water in affected areas.
Help them in any way you can!
I’m sorry for this huge inactivity for these last couple of weeks. Life is kinda tough right now and as you know I write here all by myself so it’s kinda hard to keep posting frequently in moments of working life…
Anyways, as I said in the start of this month I would create a post where I would start a discussion about the Forum creation I’ve been thinking about and here it is!
So tell me everything you want in a forum about Manga/anime!
- Do you want a forum in first place?
- What do you want to talk about in there?
- What do you want to see?
- Will it just be for discussion or do you want to make it like an entretaining place for you to talk?
- Maybe including art suggestions for new Inspiration articles?
Tell me! I will answer every question and every suggestion! Give me you opinion! Oh and, if you know good free forum hosts let me know 😉
WMP is doing great. In my opinion, it could have some more comics at your disposal but it’s still starting and so far so good! You know what to do if you want to have your manga featurd in here! If you don’t, check this post then: WebManga Project.
These past two weeks came with some news for our supported mangas. You might have even noticed new things! Here’s what I have for you:
CurseD 1.9 is almost taking its break as over! The announcement about this break getting over was made a week ago as we stepped in February and it was announced the date of the final day of the “hiatus”: February 12th is the day.
“Hell Kitchen” created by demitasse-lover (<- DeviantART) is a humoristic story where a boy named Ren a.k.a Nero gets dragged into Hell due to a scheme made by the Devil. This action/fantasy story is very interesting and it will drag your mind into it even if you don’t want to!
“Here they are” by ladyarnwyn is a very sensual work. The colors are very solid but the effect keeps its impact easily which makes this work very well done! The line art is just incredible as well.
Finally! Another month has passed and another one started! I don’t really like January – since it’s the first month of the year – but it is finally over! I started gathering some ideas for this new month and here’s the objectives for Manga Resource:
- Gather 2 more webcomic mangas for WMP (start sending your participation email!)
- Start a discussion for whether to create or not create a forum for Manga Resource;
- Write at least 2 article-tutorials;
- Add at least 4 more links to Manga Resource’s Link Center
- Do Inspiration #12 and #13 articles
These are the objectives for this month and, although they are a lot – in my opinion – I think it’s very possible to make all of these! I am still not sure about the forum creation – which I mentioned on twitter – that’s why it is only going to be a small discussion whether to create or not.
I also want to thank all of Manga Resource’s reader because once again the blog’s Stats on January made a new record with 4,548 views on the blog – which in December, even with the day record of 301 views on Dec 5th, it got 4,527. The difference it isn’t much but once again it was a new record!
Please keep reading the blog and leave your comments!
Reportedly the new issue of Young Magazine that hits stores in Japan next week will formally announce an April 5th premiere of a second Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji (Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji) anime television series. Madhouse animated the 2007 anime adaptation of Nobuyuki Fukumoto’s manga and will again animate the second TV series.
Young Jump revealed that B Gata H Kei, manga by Yōko Sanri that’s been published on Young Jump since 2003, will end on February 3rd.
Here’s a small summary about it:
B Gata H Kei revolves around 15-year-old high school student Yamada whose lascivious nature causes her to aspire to one day achieve sexual relations with 100 different partners. However, her insecurities as a virgin leads her to reject every guy that attempts to make a move on her. In order to hurdle this mental barrier Yamada goes on a search for her “golden cherry”, an inexperienced boy whom she will bestow the right to be her first.
“The editors of Comic Rush magazine announced on Wednesday that the magazine will move from print to a completely electronic format. The March issue, which just shipped on Wednesday, will be the final print issue from the publisher JIVE Ltd., and the first all-digital issue will debut on March 1.”
Big change for a magazine! It wasnt so long ago – about 4 or 5 months ago – that Kodansha and some other publishers complained about the publication of manga chapters on the web due to author copyrights and other factors. This time it looks like a magazine changed its way of seeing things. I myself don’t agree with the prohibition of manga chapters on the web but I actually prefer having a book in my hands.
“Future issues will be available on personal computers, Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod touch devices, and Android smartphones on the 1st of every month for 450 yen (about US$5.50). The current March issue is already available for free on the official computer website for the new digital edition. The iPad/iPhone version is slated for mid- to late February, while the Android version is slated for March 1.”

Through a scan released on the web, finally some news about these fillers!
Naruto Shippuden has suddenly been, since episode #181, overwhelmed by these fillers talking about the past of these characters we all know so well!
Information says that these fillers will end next week on January 27th, right after episode #196. The new saga will start on February, probably on 10th since the first week of February won’t show Naruto Shippuden.
